Towne Group created a revitalized website that includes one-page program descriptions that the community and the staff can use. Towne Group also helped create affinity programs that included business cards, name badges, tote bags, bumper stickers, window clings, vehicle signs and marketing materials updated to reflect the branding work.
Towne Group launched the new website, developed campaigns to distribute the affinity programs, practiced with the Board and staff on how to deliver the new brand through “elevator” speech. We are now moving on to create and place public service announcements for eMerge’s largest fund raising event and videos for community outreach activities and for a YouTube Channel on the website.
Blossoms of Hope
With a reaffirmed mission statement, Towne Group created business cards, name badges, a one-page flier on the program and helped Blossoms of Hope design website, complete with e-commerce and the ability to gather names and launch an e-newsletter. Social media became a regularly scheduled activity to support this new website and newsletter just in time for the event packed Cherrybration that is the mainstay of funding and community awareness for Blossoms.
As the new website was launched, Towne Group helped Blossoms of Hope create calendar post cards that were distributed at community events and in the giveaway bags at all of the events. A tabletop display also mirroring the website and cards was created to draw attention to Blossoms in the community. Towne Group trained the newly hired staff member to update the website, populate the newsletter with content, and engage the social media calendar.

American Heart Association
A Maryland 16-year-old survives a once fatal heart birth defect to lead a full and vigorous life. Winfield Berrell was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, which effectively means he has only half a functioning heart. His family has endured years of concern and support to see their youngest member blossom. Major surgical advances in recent decades, pioneered by Dr. William Norwood among others, now allow about 85% of these babies to survive.
Produced for the Howard County, Maryland chapter of the American Heart Association, Towne Group provided all creative development, production and post-production services for the American Heart Association.

Community Action Council
Howard County’s Economic Development Authority decided to recognize the work of the Community Action Council of Howard County (CAC) at its annual meeting and dinner. CAC reached out to Towne Group and in two days we scripted, interviewed, and filmed in several CAC service arenas to create the video that won the hearts of those attending the annual meeting. CAC uses this video on its website and is planning to produce one in celebration of its 50th anniversary.
Towne Group has also been engaged in leadership development and strategic planning, most recently conducting Board and staff surveys and designing and implementing a planning retreat that resulted in a new mission, vision, set of values, and assessment of the organization’s strengths and opportunities; these are critical to the development of a strategic plan to guide the organization into the future.
